Inspiration!

How would a normal 15 year old girl spend her summer holidays? Hang out with friends..summer camps...drool over vampire movies etc etc or maybe for a change be a mayor!
Yes! That's what Bashaer Othman did. Othman a 15 year old, became the youngest girl in the world to serve as a mayor.

I was casually surfing some news websites, when I came across this report in the CNN website-"15 year old Palestinian girl becomes the Mayor". I was truly amazed.

This young girl is now handling official matters, chairing  meetings and making developmental goals as a mayor of Allar, a small Palestinian town.  Phewww.... :P

This really should inspire the youths of today. Instead of creating hullabaloos and simply sharing links about reforming the government or the society, on their Facebook accounts they should actually try doing something, which is not virtual!

Today this news made my day, though it wasn't a breaking news or something. This young girl has proved that nothing is impossible,  all we need is a little bit of determination and dedication.

 Aaahaa...I already feel inspired!! :D

So many

There are so many things I would like to do...so many places I would like to visit ...so many movies I would like to watch..so many things I would like to buy....

SO MANY...

Sometimes I feel, I am just day dreaming about things to happen *sigh*
But then again, what's life without these wishes?

Who's who

The society that we live in is comprised of a rare but not extinct species-the human beings. Human beings can be classified into-Men and Women. However, when we are discussing about men and women; many things comes to our mind besides their physical differences.

Since centuries, there always has been turmoil and confrontation between the sexes. With that came highly complicated terms like- Feminism and Machoism, which made the relationship between  men and women a bit more complex. Theories are propagated, books are written, films are made; but are these really reflecting the differences between the sexes? The society has fabricated these differences in the minds of the people; and yes, we can blame our forefathers.

“Men don’t cry, Women don’t fume”- is a typical phrase quoted by some unknown person, and since then it is a tag carried on by men and women. Men too proud to confess their weakness and women too weak to confess their pride. But as Bob Dylan says in his song

“Come writers and critics
Who prophesize with your pen
And keep your eyes wide
The chance won't come again
And don't speak too soon
For the wheel's still in spin
And there's no tellin' who
That it's namin'
For the loser now
Will be later to win
For the times they are a-changin”

Yes! The times are changing, the wheels of hope and dreams are taking wing. Gone are those days when women are treated inferior and weak by society. Sometimes instead of just sitting around and complaining about the government or the media, we should thank them. A little bit of gratitude never hurts. They definitely are working  for the development of the society.

Coming to equality- Men and Women are created equally, but with different abilities; and that’s where the difference lies.
